OBS is having issues when installed on multiple Apple Mac devices.
I set up the app.Streamster.io web browser using Safari and configured OBS.
I did get it to work, on my MacBook Air M1.
Then I installed OBS and configured it to work on an older MacBook, allowing the original M1 MacBook to run but Quit out of OBS
and then it didn't work, and switching back to the original M1 also stopped working!
Now, on both, the stream does not connect to the cloud.
Once I set up the second MacBook, the Streamster webpage always says "waiting for cloud upload".
Even though on OBS, the green light is bright green!! And I've checked the stream key 100 times!
I think it has something to do with local networking between Mac devices.
When I went to set up the (second) older MacBook, it asked if I wanted to sign in with my Apple ID. That's the easiest so that's what I picked.
After I got both the browser and OBS configured, OBS push notifications were showing up on the opposite MacBook as the one I had OBS actually running on!
Local Apple networking has got things confused!
All of that took about three hours last night so I'm going to let that rest for a little bit while I get some other things done.
Based on 25 years of experience with Apple Mac products, part of me is thinking I'm going to need to uninstall OBS on both MacBooks, and reinstall, but turning-off some of the Apple local networking.
Or, not signing in as the same Apple ID on each device. if that is even possible.
But I do not want to Shut Down other Mac devices when I am using Streamster and OBS as I use them for other purposes. I want both Macbooks set up and configured to work, individually, so that when traveling, I have 2 to chose from!
This isn't my first unexplained situation where I am doing something on one Apple device and things are happening on another.
Like down in the Dock: when I am using OBS on one device, OBS comes and goes (I see it appear then disappear!!) in the Dock on another device. I have four MacBooks total, plus my Mac desktop.
I was very happy and pleased when I did get the Streamster webpage to work on the first MacBook Air M1.
Everything worked until I tried setting-up OBS on the second Macbook. Which broke both of them!!
Even though the OBS green light is very bright green!
