I have just installed OBS, run the setup wizard and added my display as source. However, I am getting this:
obs screen.PNG

Can someone advise how resolve this issue.
It is a Dell Laptop running Windows 10 64 bit, Intel UHD Graphics 620, Intel i5 processor.

That's normal. You're capturing your display, and you're running OBS on that display, so it's capturing itself.

If you have only one display, you can minimize OBS and control it with hotkeys, or from a mobile device with the Websocket plugin.

Normal use case with OBS is a 2nd display.

You can also disable the preview which will remove the effect (but doesn't change your output-- OBS will still capture its GUI on the display, you just won't get the hall-of-mirrors effect caused by OBS capturing itself capturing itself capturing itself...
