Question / Help Multiple cameras, different delay times...

Hi folks,

Loving OBS. What a cracking piece of software.

However...I have four cameras set up for my live music stream; 1 x webcam, 2 x iOS devices and 1 x Go Pro. Sadly, the video lag on the GoPro is seriously large. I know how to delay the audio to match the video, but if I do this then the other three cameras will be way ahead of the audio.

Does anybody know if there's a way around this?

Thanks in advance...

Steve

1. Right click on the source of interest (your camera in the Sources box).
2. Select Filters.
3. Click the + sign and add a Render Delay filter.
4. Add the amount you want to delay the source in milliseconds.

You have to do that for all the sources with respect to your slowest, GoPro. It's the equivalent to you delaying the audio.

Thanks Tom. Just to be clear, you’re suggesting I delay the video on the three other cameras to match the GoPro? Which would then mean I’d need to also delay the audio to match?

Yes. You have to sync with the slowest, cause you can't access video feed earlier from the slowest source. Once all video feeds are synced, audio is intuitive.

I have this same issue when using a single iOS camera and a Canon M50. The iOS camera instantly renders late. I attempted the suggested solution, but lost the M50's signal when using any delay over 33ms. I've read that OBS limits the delay to 50ms, but I can't even get that much delay before losing the feed (the preview blanks out, see attachment).
