Question / Help Multiple audio sources and audio separation?

I'm away from my main computer atm so can't test this and dive into things, but I had a question that may save me a lot of headache in the future...

First a quick backstory. I noticed that there was the option for multiple audio sources included in the options awhile ago when I downloaded the multiplatform. This was before the nvec codec was introduced and I wanted to try using it for recording, so I swapped over to the normal.

Anyways, fast forward to today and I've been using a very hacky way to record my audio tracks separately so that I could edit them after the fact. When doing research online for easier ways I noticed that dxtory was able to record multiple tracks and then you could just easily separate them via right click or scripts. This reminded me of OBS having that whole multiple source thing.

So the question becomes, if I record a video with say 3 sources total, can I then go and separate them the same way so I can freely edit them later?

Press the cog above the audio mixer and there should be options to record different sources to separate audio tracks.

Well, that is working quite nicely once I remembered to do those audio tracks as outputs in recordings.. Now I just to find a way to separate them in editing.

Any decent (semi-professional) video editor should allow you to manage the audio tracks seperately. I recommend Sony Movie Studio since it's really cheap for the features you're getting.
