Hello everyone,
I have been trying for some time now to get a 7.1 mp4 to record stems from my DAW without positive results. I can get channels routed on the OBS mixer (Advanced Audio Properties) to work when combining multiple hardware devices, such as a synth and a sound card for example. However I cannot get obs to route appropriately the multichannel Reastream signal. I can either send and 8 channel out on a single vst instance or send 4x Stereo using 4 different sources. I tested these using different Reaper session tabs and the audio works either way. However in OBS, in spite of making the input capture (Audio or ASIO I.C.) The signal always lands in channels 1&2. Even if I explicitly mute channels to match the matrix 1,2 / 3,4/ 5,6/ 7,8 for example. Has anyone tried to record like this? Meaning audio stems (4 x Stereo) from the DAW into obs as separate channels in one 7.1 mp4/mkv video file?
