Question / Help Multi-Person Streaming

I've seen some questions around on this but have yet to see a viable answer.

If I want to have a stream with multiple hosts, having each host's webcamera video/audio as a source and to add and switch between new hosts on the fly, is this something OBS can handle? Think of it as a roundtable discussion type of thing where multiple people are talking about something and other people/guests join in, etc.

If not, I believe it is possible to use a Google Hangout and just use OBS to stream that hangout, minus being able to see the person running the OBS.

Is everyone in the same physical location? If yes, then OBS could do it probably, with some video capture equipment, but if not, you'd have to have other software, the likes of which I'm not sure about.

My Star Citizen org does monthly "gamedays" where a number of people stream to the org's private RTMP ingest server, where they do "stuff" to switch between the various streams they're being sent, and some other people acting as announcers. Eventually it ends up being sent to Twitch. I've only been one of the people sending them my video, I don't have the details of what kind of RTMP server they're using or how they're configuring the video on the backend.
