Hi,

I wonder, which codecs use OBS to save file on hdd (own or from my computer. I have K-Lite codecs)? I asked, because OBS classic droped a single frame, all the time. In OBS studio, movie is smooth. But when I save file as MP4, Avidemux doesn't forward the movie (It's stuck).

When I muxing file from MP4 to MKV (using MKVmerge), it works in correctly.

I use Blackmagic Intensity USB to streaming and saving.

current build: ffmpeg, media foundation (hw amd vce, due to license limitations), hw intel's quicksync (fork to Seung-Woo Kim, native implementation).

You can use K-Lite codecs for frame serving (AviSynth processing) or decoding by directshow players.
In general, use this software: https://obsproject.com/forum/resources/post-production-tools-you-can-use.234/ some programs may struggle to open fragmented files, lossless or HiBits video. If import of your editor supports system codecs, then you probably may don't care about Studio setups, otherwise you need to adjust settings or demux video/audio and edit it separately by different programs (maybe convert it to uncompressed format before final processing). There is a lot of options available.

Save to mkv directly in OBS instead of using mp4. There are reliability issues with mp4.
