i was on a Mac Pro 2012 which had 5 USB ports, I was able to run 3 Logitec cameras off a powered USB hub to one USB port, my external hard drive of the second port and the three outputs from my gear, Pioneer CDJ200NXS ( 2 ) and a DJM 900 mixer. Worked fine
Now I moved to a Mac Pro 2019 which has only 2 USB ports but 4 thunderbolt ports.
For some reason I can only power 2 Logitec cameras from the USB powered hub so I did the following:
1. External hard drive runs off of thunderbolt 1 top of unit with an adapter from USB to T bolt
2. One Logitec camera runs off the 2nd t bolt port with an adapter from USB to T bolt
3. Mixer and two CDJs run off the back ports (2) USBs and one T bolt an adapter from USB to T bolt
4. Powered USB hub ( 2 cameras)
Is this my only way of doing?
Tried a Sonnett USB card but does not have enough watts to power the cameras.
Any other configs possible??
