Move Cropped Window While Recording?

Hello,
I've used the program for only basic needs in the past but haven't found the solution for this complex question. I'd like to crop a video but move the cropped portion, is this possible? Like set the crop to a certain pixel dimensions, but I'd like to move the "window of cropping" side to side while recording to capture different parts of the original. The original video is very wide dimension. I want to crop a smaller window and drag it to capture the left portion of the original, then drag to capture the right side of the original, etc, moving around in relation to the original. (I can only find directions on moving a fixed portion back and forth on a larger canvas, which is not what I'm trying to do.) Is this possible with OBS?
Thanks!

By default - not possible. Alt-cropping with mouse is all what OBS has. Usually, users prepares few Alt-crops crops of the same source, and keeps them in different scenes. Then, when needed, you make switch to the required scene.

If I understand you correctly, you can do this: not move the cropping area, instead create a source in front that is a mask with the size of the area that's left after cropping, then move the video source behind it by dragging the source with the mouse. It's no problem to make the video bigger than the canvas itself. If the area you want to show is as big as your canvas, you don't even need a mask, in this case the canvas is the mask itself.

Or with other words: don't drag the window of cropping in front of the source, instead drag the video source behind the window of cropping.
If you actually want the window visually moving in the resulting video, don't use any cropping function. Instead create a second source with a mask, then move that source interactively in front of the (fixed) video source.
