Mouse Skips when recording games on Linux

Hi,

When I'm recording a game on Linux, the mouse is getting extremely choppy and the game is absolutely unplayable. The frame rate is OK and also the capturing of the video is fine as it looks exactly as my live experience when recording it. When I'm moving using only the keyboard, there is no problem. OBS seems to interfere with my mouse somehow.

I have this problem in other games, too. I also tried gzdoom and Doom Eternal.

Here is a sample of what it looks like in ESO: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KauackJilA4

I don't even need to start a recording to get this mouse problem: Only starting OBS is enough to mess up the mouse behavior in games. Exiting OBS fixed the problem immediately.

I tried disabling flipping in the NVIDIA settings, I enabled and disabled Vsync in the game, I tried setting the game both to fullscreen and windowed fullscreen. Nothing changed.
I'm using an up to date Arch Linux and Xorg.

Also, I didn't find a way of getting rid of the extreme tearing effect in the top of the screen, enabling Vsync didn't fix it either.

Thank you for your support!

As it is not allowed to edit posts after 10 minutes, I just want to add the information that I also tried both software encoding (low CPU usage) and nvenc. The problem is present both ways.
