I found out about this while using 2 screens put one above the other in OBS, when in reality they are side by side.
As you can see, when the mouse cursor goes outside the 1st screen source (top) it is still visible in the black space to the right, while a second cursor is drawn on the second screen source (bottom).
I guess the cursor should be clipped to the source dimensions to avoid this from happening.
