Has left OBS in a state of not working. No sound is coming in from my mixer. When I change scenes it freezes. When I try to close the program it freezes. When I sneeze OBS freezes. It is not working at all. I uninstalled it. But evidently it didn’t really uninstall because when I reinstalled it all of my previous non-functioning setting were still there.

I've found that when you uninstall OBS, you need to also remove the obs-studio from your own Library.
In terminal: rm -rf ~/Library/Application Support/obs-studio

It also helps to remove from /Library too
In terminal: sudo rm -rf /Library/Application Support/obs-studio

If you don't do that, older remnants of OBS remain. Be aware though, that doing this removes all of the plugins, scenes and profiles you have set up for OBS.

I am running OBS under 10.15.3 without issues.
