Question / Help Monitors go black after some time recording/streaming

Hey,

i do have one problem using OBS Studio 64bit for quite a while now:
Every time i stream or just record a gameplay footage my monitors go black after some time (sometimes 10 Minutes, sometimes 20 or 30 - random each time). It happens out of nowhere without any visible indication. I'm using two Nvidia GTX 970 with three monitors connected to the first card and a fourth monitor connected to the second one. When the "crash" happens, all monitors go black and just number four (on the second card) shows a picture sometimes (sometime it does just blink a bluescreen or stay black too). Sometimes it is possible for me to hear some error messages appear. Anyway, i can't control the pc in any way anymore. A hard reset is needed. After starting windows again, nothing like a crash report or something is shown.

Here is the log of my last try: https://obsproject.com/logs/6lLYkkbAi9DQs25Y

I already tried reinstalling OBS Studio or using the "old" OBS. I tried it with or without my webcam connected and tried different enconding settings. I'm quite clueless and hope, somebody can help me.

Thanks,
SHiiDO.

This is the usual symptom with Windows not being able to access the GPU any more. Common among gamers (google for "black screen game"). It is caused by a malfunctioning GPU or incompatibility between mainboard and GPU. A GPU can malfunction, if there is overheating, overclocking, or issues with power supply. Revert any overclocking, clean dust and verify that every cooling fan is working. Then check proper seating of the GPU card by taking it out and back in.

Reinstalling any application, driver or even Windows will not help. You cannot cure hardware issues with software reinstallation.

Thank you :) I was not considering a hardware problem so far. Have cleaned out my hardware an checked the ventilation. So far ther're no more crashes up to now.
