Hi
I’ve installed OBS but I’m finding it hard to work out if it can do what I need done. Can somebody help please?
I’m a UK based music producer working with a singer in Malta. The plan is that I send her backing tracks and she records using a Digital Audio Workspace (DAW - a sort of online recording studio.) Then she uploads the results for mixing in UK.
So the problem is how can we use OBS so that I hear both her vocal and the backing track while she’s recording, but without the backing track also being included on her vocal recording. (Obviously it would be useless then.) I need to hear the work in progress so we can discuss afterwards what worked and what didn’t.
She’ll be working on Mac. I’ll be on Windows.
Hope that’s clear and we’d be grateful for advice! If OBS isn't the answer it would great to have suggestions for alternatives.
