Monitor power settings

I noticed that when actively streaming, OBS prevents the monitor from entering a low-power mode, regardless of whether OBS has the application focus or not. Is this a technically necessary function for capturing sources? If not, please allow the PC to conduct normal power management. This can apply to streams such as vodcasting where there is not necessarily much user activity.
