Monitor Output not working

Hey, I have watched several videos on YT and read through several forums but cannot seem to get monitoring to work. The two things I want to be able to hear in my headset are my stinger transition and my bass guitar (when I plug it in.)

Mixer: Presonus Audio USB 96 (labeled hanging mic as it also is used for another purpose)

I have monitor and output on and for the Listen to this device is turned off.

Please help!

OBS outputs audio set to monitoring to the audio device you configured in Settings->Audio->Advanced->Monitoring Device. Check this setting. Make sure you're not creating a feedback loop - in this case OBS doesn't output anything for monitoring.

I have the same issue and have checked the same things. When streaming to a Zoom, all my friends can hear what I'm playing but I can't. Sometimes it's too loud. Any updates on this issue?

if youre still looking for the fix i figured it out, go to your sound devices and in playback enable the option for other apps to take exclusive control of your audio device
