Question / Help Monitor Capture stops working after scene change

Hello,
I'm having some annoying problems with the monitor capture on my primary display.
Basically, I start up OBS Studio and check my stream scene, and it works, for the moment. I switch to a different scene which I use for prestream, which just plays a video. I then switch to another scene, which plays my intro. Again just video.
Then I switch to my stream scene and notice that monitor capture no longer works - the frame is no only a dot.
Switching the monitor capture to my secondary display works, no problem. But that display is smaller so I can't stream on it.
Restarting OBS usually fixes the problem temporarily. But it can't be the solution to start OBS, start my stream, run the prestream and intro, then stop the stream, restart OBS and start the stream again.
Please note that out of the three scenes I generally use, the stream scene is the only one with monitor capture.
Does anyone know what can be done about this?

Sorry for the long reply delay. I uploaded a log when the error occured here:

I noticed that apparently the problem occurs while a video (media source or vlc source makes no difference) is played. It does not happen right away, but somewhere in between 1 and 4 minutes of the video being played. Apparently the video must be full screen, as I constantly have a video running that covers part of the screen which doesn't seem to cause it. Also, it apparently only happens when I'm live. I tried it for some time with a video in full screen just in preview mode, that didn't trigger it.

So... I tried just placing a game capture over the display capture as a prestream. Didn't even cover the whole display capture. Result was, when I hid the game capture, I could see the cursor moving on the display capture. But the image shown never changed. It still showed windows I had open like 10 minutes ago.
Crashed OBS and my graphics driver with it after a few minutes.
Restarted the PC, restarted OBS, display capture worked. Started another program that required an admin password, so it displayed the user account control dialog, complete with fading the background and all that. After that, display capture had stopped working again.

Here's the log of that:

It's all the "gs_duplicator_update_frame: Failed to update frame (887A0001)" in the end.

Heeey, still no reply here, huh? Well, here's another thing
I thought maybe it's the resolution. 2560x1440. So I changed it to 1920x1080. But, guess what, it happened again. After playing the intro video, display capture stopped working.
Some help would be really nice.
