Question / Help Monitor capture (0.14.1) stuttering sometimes

So apparently I've experienced some "FPS drops" in my last recordings but the problem is: These aren't FPS drops. I use monitor capturing to record some older games which can't be captured using another method and the log file does show some lagged frames but they're not enough to justify the odd stuttering. These dropped frames are also visible in the preview while the game runs perfectly fine though, so I guess OBS has some problems picking up all frames.

Might it be possible to fix this on my side or in OBS itself? I'll add additional information if needed.

Here's a log file: https://gist.github.com/a4e42e5434e5215f10f8a153121bad31

So, after digging through a lot of websites, my question ist: How does OBS Studio capture the desktop?
Does it use the Desktop Duplication API introduced with Windows 8 and DXGI 1.2? I can't seem to find the corresponding files in OBS source.

I don't know exactly how monitor capture works... but from what I've read, the desktop duplication API is the most likely.
You might have the same problem I had a few months ago. I had monitor capture randomly dropping frames and stuttering that don't show up in the log.

It appears that they aren't going to fix it.
