I just bought one of these to use over my piano keyboard. It works okay some of the time, except for one thing: the live video stops after a short period of time and outputs a still frame from some time ago.
I've never heard of a webcam that freezes and outputs that frame indefinitely. Actually, what I discovered from unplugging and replugging the USB cable is that OBS retains the last frame of video as a still image. So it appears that the camera stops sending live video after a while, despite being designed for continuous operation.
SETUP:
I have two cameras trained on the keyboard. The MOKOSE is an overhead looking down on the keyboard. The other camera is a Sony EX1 doing a profile shot.
The Sony works continuously, but the MOKOSE won't update the picture. I'm moving my hands over the keyboard, but all the MOKOSE is showing is the keyboard without my hands!
I'm using OBS Studio to capture the cameras and stream. The Mokose shows up as a USB Camera in OBS. The manual for the MOKOSE shows it being used with OBS, so it's compatible.
What I don't understand is why the camera was realtime when I first hooked it up, but soon stops working, requiring me to fiddle with the settings in OBS to get it to be live again.
Does anyone have experience with this camera and OBS and what can be done to make it work reliably so that I don't have to toggled settings on and off in OBS to get it to update the picture?
