Bug Report MKV partial recording when "stopping recording" ; obs hangs on stopped recording

Problem:
obs hangs on stopped recording. left with a partial MKV file (12min (200mbs) of 1hr recording). No error or crash prompt. manually ended it after 2+ hours of hanging on "stopping recording"; ended up with 12min of a 1hr recording. also ended up with a log file of 22mb to big for attachment so deleted repeated stuff noted as +++++++++++.

Question:
what is the problem and how to fix?
is it possible to recover the full 1hr of this specific MKV file?

i think i posted in bugs instead of help etc; which i now did. I dont know how to delete this, so ill leave it here.
