Hi team,
I am very new to OBS and have previously recorded in mp4 format with no problems. I heard it was best to record in mkv and set to automatically remux once recording had finished so I did this today thinking it would be best. Everything looked to record ok I made sure the red recording button was still on during my 20 minute recordings, however when I hit stop recording, it didnt actually stop so I pressed it again and the out put file was only 2 minutes long..? I understand I may have prematurely stopped the remuxing, however shouldnt the mkv file still be in tact..? I'm really confused that I lost 4 20 minute recordings (all only seemed to keep 2 minutes), when I thought mkv was almost industructible format and thats why its recommended..? I've attached the 4 logs for anyone who knows what may have happened to hopefully shed some light on what went wrong and how I can avoid this in future please..? Many thanks in advance.
