Does anyone know why an mkv file would corrupt when they're specifically not supposed to? I use mkv so that if something wrong happens I don't lose my footage but I ran out of space on my hard drive and either the footage corrupted or it didn't save at all. It still takes up the space it would if it was a normal video file and in vlc it even shows the length of the video, but no footage, but that makes me think it may be recoverable. Does anybody know how?
