MJPEG decode error leads to stream disconnecting from twitch.

I'm not sure what's causing this or even where to look to fix it. But OBS will disconnect when streaming with the following error in the logs. Once disconnected, I can no longer stop the stream and have to force close OBS-studio

Once obs is restarted it works fine for a while.

07:34:02.787: warning: mjpeg_decode_dc: bad vlc: 0:0 (00000287BE2E6088)
07:34:02.787: error: error dc
07:34:02.787: error: error y=3 x=9

To be clear, my webcam is picked up as an MJPEG device

05:20:49.325: [DShow Device: 'Webcam'] settings updated:
05:20:49.325: video device: HD Pro Webcam C920
05:20:49.325: video path: \\?\usb#vid_046d&pid_082d&mi_00#7&10326444&0&0000#{65e8773d-8f56-11d0-a3b9-00a0c9223196}\global
05:20:49.325: resolution: 1280x720
05:20:49.325: flip: 0
05:20:49.325: fps: 30.00 (interval: 333333)
05:20:49.325: format: MJPEG

Outside of that error, there's really nothing else in the logs that could point to why my stream just dies. Any ideas on this one? I'm not even sure what to start digging into.

Twitch inspector reports the following that matches the time stamps in the logs.
Jul 6, 7:34 unstable (25 s)
after that, the stream goes dead.

I started having that exact same issue last week, and the only difference in my setup was that I had added in a 10 foot USB 2.0 extension cable for my C920 camera. I tested it out a bunch tonight with and without that cable, and it was the addition of it that caused my issues. My log files are clear of that error without it.

I resolved this by going into the logitech software and allowed other software to take control of the camera. This appears to have stopped the issue.

I've been having a problem where my cameras all freeze part way through a stream. This started happening after I replaced one of the cameras with a Logitec C920. I've never considered that the problem could be caused by the camera itself. Could you let me know exactly where the option to allow other software to take control of the camera is (and in which particular Logitec app - I have several). Thanks.
