Question / Help Mixer Sync Offset Does Nothing [RESOLVED]

Hey everyone,

As the title states, the audio sync offset option doesn't appear to function, for any of the audio devices. I need to be able to offset the desktop audio (attempting to match it to the delay on my microphone). The problem is that there's no change in the delay, regardless of the setting used, when monitored through the indicator on the mixer.

Thank you to anybody who's able to offer support, and to the developers for some fantastic software :).

You offset the microphone, not the Desktop Audio. Use either a positive number (i.e. 200) or negative number (i.e. -200)

I've tried offsetting the mic and desktop audio in different combinations, using positive and negative values. No matter what I change in sync offset, nothing is adjusted.

How are you verifying this? The sync changes will only be reflected on stream/recordings, not on your PC itself.

I've enabled monitoring for relevant devices in the mixer. Would that not allow for checking sync? If there is no way to check that then that's somewhat odd, as it's possible to sync the video aspect without having to go live.

I did manage to resolve the issue by making a series of recordings, altering the offset each time (the offset did appear in the recordings). That did work, and work perfectly. It is slightly roundabout, though, compared to being able to sync webcam video and mic audio by adjusting the video delay while watching the preview in OBS. Maybe there's some way to make that a bit more straightfoward, but considering the fact that I've only found a few other references to people having the problem, it may just be me :).

Thank you for your help!

Wait a second. I am having this same problem on 19.0.3 I was able to hear the offset in previous versions. Having to record to test is ridiculous. This must be a bug right?
