Greetings.
Problem 1:
1. Connected DDJ-1000 to Yamaha MG10XU mixer.
2. Signal picked up by mixer. Sounds great through headphones. No problem.
3. Connected mixer via USB 2.0 cable to PC laptop running OBS. Signal detected. Meter jumping in time with the music.
4. Made a test recording with OBS to check the audio - sounds terrible compared to what the mixer is actually putting out.
5. Played around with the settings to no avail. Very poor recording quality.
6. Gave up after several hours. Reset everything in the software.
7. OBS still receiving a signal from the mixer when I shut it down.
This leads to...
Problem 2:
The next day:
1. Turned everything back on and opened OBS.
2. OBS recognizes MG10XU as the audio input source, but
3. No signal detected in OBS. No audio. Nothing.
4. Scoured the internet for solutions. Discover this is a recurring problem.
5. Spent the whole day trying every suggested solution I could find. Nothing.
6. Don't know where to go or what to try next.
This is not a hardware problem. My studio monitors can pick up the signal when connected to the mixer via XLR and it sounds great, but OBS seems unable to process the signal even though it recognizes the mixer as an input source, which I find bizarre because it worked with the mixer straight out of the box the first time I connected it to my PC
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.
