Question / Help Missing VLC Video Source option?

Hi there,

I am following a blog's instructions on how to stream prerecorded audio with an image, I have however noticed that I am missing the VLC Video Source as a source option. Please see below screen grab from the blog, and what I can see.

Why is this?
How can it be fixed?
Is it necessary for what I am trying to achieve?

Previously you needed to have an older version of VLC (2.28 or older) for this to work. I am not sure if this is still the case.
