Missing file

I did a lot of recording yesterday and a 2 hour video that is part of one of the projects is missing, as there is hours of footage (5 hours) I didn't notice till I got to the end of all the files editing that a huge part was missing.
The last recording I have is at 15:36:16 that is 2hours 19 mins long.
The next recording is missing which is a few hour I estimate.
The next recording I have is from later on at 19:20:31part of a different project.

I don't expect to somehow get the file back as I think it was never made even though the interface said it was recording. But for obvious reasons I would like to find a solution to stop it happening again in the future.
