Hi all.
New here.

Been using OBS to stream some miscellaneous things- but I am trying to record my XBox One gameplay through an HDMI Live Streaming Device and am missing sounds of the in-game talkers.

Here is my setup to help paint the picture:
XBox one with controller and 3.5mm headphone/mic plugged into joystick. (no Kinect)
HDMI from the XBOX runs through a HDMI splitter. Both to the TV, and then to my USB/HDMI Live Streaming Input on my PC using OBS.

OBS records all XBox gameplay fine, but does not hear or record the talkers in game.
I can hear all people when I use the XBox settings to send PARTY chat to HEADPHONES and SPEAKERS.
Then it works fine.

But if I just have a game with randoms - where we are not using PARTY CHAT... the chat audio does not come through the HDMI to my capture card.

It's probably a setting on the XBOX to route ALL audio out to speakers but I also want my headset on.

Thoughts? I don't use a lot of Party Chat in game.

I am running into the exact same problem. I can stream and record party chat easily. But when I switch to gamechat, none of the people talking in game are picked up on OBS. I don’t know if there are settings I can change or if this is just an issue with my El Gato HD60pro. There seems to be no clear answer about this anywhere!
