so does anyone know if turning on a framerate limit or vsync will help with obs recording lag? because sometimes i record its fine good wuality other times its lagging like hell please help also on average in minecraft i get around 200-300 and when standing still up to 600 turning on fps limit wpuld make it only go up to 60

Of course limiting the frame rate will enable OBS to record with less lags (or none). Limiting the frame rate is the single most efficient way to get rid of recording lags. Most lags appear only, when people insist on not limiting the frame rate and instead boost their game to the highest frame rate ever possible. This way, the game uses up all computing resources and leaves nothing to OBS, so OBS will start to lag for sure.

ok thanks appreciate it :P but whats better, turning on vsync, limiting fps or both?

Usually, vsync is sufficient, as long as your monitor is not more than 60 Hz. Vsync will lock your game to the monitor refresh rate. This will get rid you of screen tearing as beneficial side effect. Since Minecraft isn't very resource-demanding, this should be sufficient.
