Question / Help Minecraft Fullscreen Stutter

Hello! I am currently running a minecraft channel that uploads daily videos. When I got back from my leave to summer camp I was confronted with a problem. Whenever I went full screen in my game it would stutter terribly. My game frame rate would be fine but the recording after would be terrible. I uninstalled all the programs I downloaded before I started having the issue and I'm still having it, I have my latest log file as of 8/1/2016 9:32 PM CT. Here is a link.

If you need to see anything else or have a answer please respond ASAP because I must continue the video every day streak.

Thanks again,
Rellik

I was running 0.15.2 originally even when the problem was happening. I thought maybe a update had caused it.

Can you try a test recording for 1-2 minutes with minecraft running and post a new log please? This one does not include a capture session.

I recommend you try 1280x720 with 60 fps or 1920x1080 with 30 FPS.
Looks like your computer is not completely able to handle 1080p60.

Also, limit the FPS in your game to something like 60 or 100 (depending on how high it is) might help with GPU bottlenecks.

Also you have to use 0.15.2 if you are on Windows 10. Otherwise game capture might not run smoothly.

If you insist on 1080p60 you need to use one of the available Hardware Encoders in OBS, for you that is most likely "Hardware (QSV)". Also use the simple recording presets for easiest usage.

Okay, I was recording 1280x720 60 fps. I don't know how you thought I wasn't. I'm going to update to 0.15.2 now.

Okay, I updated to 0.15.2, I don't want to use game capture because it slows down my computer. Is there any way I could fix the errors?

Your log indicates that you were recording at 1920x1080, which is why @H4ndy mentioned it.

Game Capture should not slow down your computer, and it should actually be more efficient than Window Capture or Display Capture. You need to adjust the settings as @H4ndy suggested to fix those errors. Your CPU is likely not fast enough to keep up with recording 1080p@60FPS using software x264 as the encoder. You might be able to take advantage of Quick Sync, as @H4ndy suggested.

Try to adjust your settings, then try to record, and post a new log with a description of any changes in behavior.

Okay, I don't know why it was set to 1920x1080 in that recording. I thought I set it to 1280x720. I'm not going to use QuickSync because I don't want to record 1920x1080. And Game Capture is very hard to use. Because I can't put it in half fullscreen (You know where you put it in fullscreen but can still see the taskbar?) without it showing half of the screen. And it's really hard to PvP (Player vs Player) or just play the game with that small of a screen
