Hi,
My son (9) is pursuing his dream of becoming a YouTube game reviewer :)
Last weekend he tried to make his first video, but we failed trying. His own computer (with OpenSUSE Leap) was to slow but the video output was good.
Then he tried it on my computer which is fast enough. I also make recordings for EVE Online and I never had any problems. Recording Minecraft however results in a flicking video. Also sometimes in the left corner of the video you'll see a square flickering with some upside down Minecraft image.
My machine has an Intel based video card.The log was to big to fit this post so I uploaded it.
Note that although it was just to slow on his machine, it had no flickering. That machine has an old ATI card with the open-source driver.
