Question / Help Microstutter in gameplay while preview enabled

Hey,

When I have preview enabled in OBS studio I get the slightest of microstutter in my gameplay. If I turn the preview off, it's better. Anyone know what does this? It's not the end of the world, but it annoys the crap out of me. And I'd like to see what scenes I'm having live as I stream to see alerts and stuff, maybe it's just something on my end.

Cheers.

Bumbing this.. So like I said, when I have preview disabled or actually, just minimizing the window makes it so much more fluent in-game. Wut is this? I should be able to have preview up I'm thinking. Seems like something weird going on with encoding and showing the actual preview?

In order to show the preview, the preview has to be composited, so that's going to take some power to do. If your GPU is maxed out, using some of its power for that could conceivably slow the game down. You could probably reduce the impact by choosing 30FPS in OBS instead of 60, but I don't know that for certain.

I see, however, using OBS classic this never happened. Also, I have a Nvidia Titan X Black Pascal GPU, so I feel like I should be in the clear?

Update:

Tried running the same settings on OBS Classic -- It works fine there, is there something throttling within OBS studio?
