Bug Report Microsoft Word does not work with OBS Studio

If I use Window Capture, I get a white screen. If I use game capture, I get nothing. Tried messing with all the settings, and nothing fixed the problem.

I manage to get basically a screenshot of the text area if I use a game capture and collapse and then repin the ribbon at the top of Word. I know I can use Monitor Capture, but I would like a more elegant solution.

At the very least, I need to know if the problem is with OBS or with Word.

Probably a hardware acceleration issue, though I don't know exactly what the issue is, or if OBS can work around it. Either disable hardware acceleration in Word, or use Display Capture and crop it.

I was wondering if anyone found a solution to this?

I'm using Word 2016 and OBS Studio 21.1.0 64bit. When I do window or game capture, it just shows a big white space. I do have a work-around set up, where I do a monitor capture and crop out everything that isn't Word. However, because of chat windows and browser stuff, I don't like this current set-up because I don't want all that extra stuff to be seen.

In fiddling around with things (really, I just clicked around in Word's options without changing anything), I noticed that I can see my chosen font type in the window-capture version of Word. Aside from that, it's just weird. Every other window/screen capture program I use (Discord and Zoom) pick up Word just fine.
