Microsoft Teams audio-problems while screen sharing OBS

I have sound problems in Microsoft Teams when I turn on the full-screen projector on OBS 30.0.02 and use it to share. When you turn on the virtual camera, a lot of energy is required and the fans can then be heard loudly.
Unfortunately, with OBS 29.1.3 the virtual camera no longer works with Sanoma 14.1.2
or does anyone have a solution for this?

Soo...what's your audio problem? Just the fans being loud?

The projectors and the virtual camera are both silent. You need to run the sound a different way. If you need to get it from OBS to anywhere other than a direct stream or recording from OBS, then the only option is the Monitor, and there's only one of those. So you'll have to choose between using that for your headphones, or for the soundtrack to an external video send.

Or, you could move ALL of your audio processing to an external tool. You might not necessarily need a full DAW or house-priced concert mixer, but that would certainly do it! Then, all of your sources would connect to that external tool, not to OBS, and you'd feed everything from that external tool, not from OBS. OBS *only* does the picture at that point, and the bare minimal sound that it absolutely has to, only because it has to.

If you have videos or other soundtracks that you can't move out of OBS easily, use OBS's Monitor to send them to the external tool. Don't stream or record them; see the next point.

If OBS needs to stream or record, then send it the finished soundtrack from the external tool, as OBS's only audio source for that purpose, with no processing whatsoever in OBS. Just a dumb passthrough. And don't Monitor that source in OBS; almost guaranteed feedback if you do!

I have control over what is transferred where with an external mixer. I believe the sound problems in Microsoft Teams (participants' voices are broken) are related to the routing. What is annoying is the loud fan noise in the MacBookPro when the virtual camera is active.

This is only since the update to OBS 30.0. the case and a downgrade to obs 29.3 is suboptimal, because the virtual camera in OBS 29.xx works no longer with MAC OS 14.1.

So what's the worst case here? Buy a decent USB line out for about $30 or so, so you can have a separate feed from Teams to the external mixer?

Not much you can do about that. Your system doing that total amount of work, generates that amount of heat, and that's how that thermal design has to get rid of that heat to stay below the maximum operating temperature. If you really have to fix that, then you're probably looking at a different machine.
