Question / Help Microphone stereo recording problem

Hey. The problem is - when I use my mic to record in stereo, the outcome in a video file makes the recorded sound hearable only from my right speaker (I have 2 right/left). The left is silent, however everything recorded directly from a game is there. This is solved when I use mono, instead of stereo. But, as I read on faq, and had my question answered on this forum, mono is not recommended, right? So perhaps there is some other way to make it work, as it should and still record in stereo?

Thx in advance!

in the mixer settings set the mic source's mono entry. That will put the mic centered in the stereo feed.

Mono is recommended for microphones. Stereo microphones, in almost all cases, sound like crap. If the mic is sending a stereo signal, make sure you change that in your system sound control panel to send mono.

All right, guys! I guess I must had understood something wrong. I will stick to mono then. It indeed sounds better and solves my problem. Thank you!
