Microphone disconnects randomly while streaming.

I have searched the archives here and have not yet seen a viable solution. I'm hoping someone can help.

I have a HyperX QuadCast S. Since the latest update (29.0.2 64bit), my microphone will, at random times, disconnect and reconnect from my computer. When it reconnects the sound fails and I sound like a squeaking chipmunk. Physically disconnecting and reconnecting the mic again restores it's functionality. On rare occasion, it will shut off all my connected USB devices including my camera and my stream deck.

This only occurs while I am live on stream. If OBS is open but not recording or streaming, everything is fine, likewise if OBS is closed. So I can confidently say OBS, while active, is the root cause.

Has anyone else encountered and solved this issue?

Recordings? Logfiles? So far, there's practically nothing for us to go on.
