MIC Volume - Recording VS Streaming

Hi,

yesterday I streamed on Twitch for the first time using my MIC.. What i noticed watching the VOD later on was that my voice was very loud; on the contrary when I record with OBS, Windows Recorder, Audacity or Davinci Resolve, my MIC's volume is rather low.

What could the reason be?
Thanks

When that happened to me, it was audio normalization on the software I used being turned on by default.

Well, OBS is the same software for streaming and recording, so the same effects are applied.
Windows Recorder and Audacity shouldn't apply any effect automatically AFAIK and I think Davinci Resolve too (even if I'm no expert).

If you go to your windows sound control panel, check the properties of your output device (speakers, headphones or whatever), Enhancement tab and if any effect is enabled by default then do the same for any recording devices.

Can't think of any other possibility for why this may be occurring.
