Hello, first and foremost here is my log: https://obsproject.com/logs/GIjLHo_sz8i2yNiT
So I've been trying to get a stream off the ground and for the most part my issue was lag. Earlier this week I did a stream and stopped to adjust a few things, then started the stream up again and the lag seemed to be cleared up. But now, all of a sudden, my friends were telling me my mic was echoing. It got worse the longer it went on, so I unplugged the mic for a few seconds, then plugged it back in. My friends reported that this fixed the issue and the rest of the stream went great.
Then a few days later, I decided to try another stream with a different game to see if my lag solution worked in general or just with that one game. This time around the mic echo was not only back, but 1) unplugging and replugging didn't seem to fix it for more than a few minutes at a time, and 2) even when I didn't have a chance to try unplugging because there were things going on in the game, my friends reported that the echo went away on its own a minute or so later. This kept happening over and over throughout the stream. Audio would be fine, then all of a sudden the mic specifically is echoing, then the echo spontaneously went away without me doing anything.
When I messed with the settings to fix the lag, nothing that i changed had to do with audio; I was only messing with things like output resolution and changing a few of the settings in the game itself to be lower-impact. Firefox was completely closed, so I didn't have my own stream open anywhere. I have OBS set to recognize my mic specifically as the mic/auxiliary audio and desktop audio set to default, and all other sound inputs disabled. Audio monitoring is off across the board for both the mic's advanced settings and the desktop audio's advanced settings. The mic is working as normally as ever in other applications like Discord, no echo there -- including when I'm on Discord during the stream. That is to say, while I'm streaming and my viewers are hearing my mic echo as I talk to other players on Discord, the other players on Discord are not getting an echo at that same moment. I've googled around for solutions, but never managed to find a page addressing this particular problem, so that didn't really get me anywhere. I've run out of ideas, so I turn now to the forum. Any help at all would be massively appreciated!!
