Question / Help mic stops working during recording

I have been trying to record gameplay and commentary of minecraft, and seem to have everything working except sound.
At the beginning of each video sound and mic pickup are working perfectly. every video loses the mic and game sound at some point, unless i make it super short and get lucky that it hasnt stopped before i finish.
I dont even know where to start with this, and any ideas would be greatly appreciated

Here is a log where the problem happened. 3 minutes into recording there is a bump of lag in the video, and the mic stops picking up.
I have researched windows 10 microphone problems and have done every fix i could find. Yet this is still happening.

Further investigation has shown me that the microphone isnt working in windows. It says its enabled, but its not working. disabling and re-enabling makes it work again, until it does it again. And there is no way i have found to tell that this is the case from within minecraft, without leaving minecraft to check.
