I've been using OBS for a while for video recording and got all my audio settings figured out and what not, and just today I decided to test my streaming settings for the first time. I didn't change any audio settings or anything, but for some reason after doing so, when I try to record a video now, my mic quality sounds really poor than what it used to before.
It almost sounds like I'm recording with my iMac mic but I double checked where the mic audio input is coming from and even used and took off filters to see if it would change but it still sounds poor when I video record. I record using an audio technica at2020 and it sounded fine when I checked my stream from a different device, exactly how it did when I used to video record so I want to dismiss the issue being from my mic or my audio interface, but if not those, does anyone know what it could be?
