mic randomly stopped working

My shure sm7b mic I got a couple months ago along with a goxlr worked perfectly fine with everything then today on obs and other applications like discord it stopped capturing ONLY the microphone. The only time it will pick up my mic is when I open the mic setup in the goxlr and it works, but the window can't minimize. The samples (soundboard on the goxlr) work perfectly fine along with the desktop audio. I have tried restarting my computer to see if that was the problem, but nothing. I'm not sure what happened, really confused.

This really doesn't sound related to OBS, you should mention.

If the GoXLR mutes the mic (whatever the reason is) and overcomes this with its own mic setup dialog, the issue is sourced in between the GoXLR and its driver/app conglomerate.

Having a three second search on aunt guugel it says that audio issues with "muted" mics seem to be not such seldom along using the GoXLR.
