Question / Help Mic Quality Help

Hello, I have realised a significant mic quality decrease when recording with OBS Multiplatform and I was wondering if anyone had a solution for my problem. (The quality of the music playing in the background of my streams is perfectly fine).

Audio Settings: http://prntscr.com/7dbz1t

Comparisons:

Mac Audio recording: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rl0sUZTfkek

Thank you for reading.

Could it be that your microphone audio is also output to SoundFlower, effectively doubling the audio with a tiny delay? To be honest your OBS recording is still good enough for streaming but I do hear that the normal recording is better of course. I use my microphone audio at only 128 kbps and never had complaints but I am wondering whether I should now do an A/B test myself.

The soundflower output is not the issue as ive tested it without and it made no difference. I saw Jim say on a different post that the bitrate should be set to 160 for a better quality, so I thought I'd change it to that.

I make heavy use of Audio Hijack Pro. What if you try to capture the Yeti audio with that program and then use it to redirect the audio to SoundFlower so that OBS can stream it. Maybe Audio Hijack Pro has a better way of capturing high quality audio directly from a device?
