First off: I am not tech savvy. I can follow directions, but you'll lose me with a lot of jargon. Please talk to me like a kindergartener.
I've had no issues with recording using my laptop's internal microphone, but I've recently gotten an external mic, and it's not getting recorded. My laptop sees it, and I can see the live audio mixer in OBS registering sound, but I can't get it to actually record the noise.
Things I've tried:
The audio is all set to one track, and volume turned up.
Push to talk/mute is not enabled.
I've selected an input and output that are being seen in the live mixer.
Advanced Settings are set to "monitor and output".
Windows Privacy settings are turned off, and no one program has exclusive use of my mic.
I'm out of ideas, and I can't figure this out. Help?
