Hi folks,
I am not getting anywhere with my setup. I have googled all mic/latency related posts but all of them have a different case/cause.
I have a Mic going into my RME fireface 400.
If I route the mic into OBS and listen through the RME's Master output, all is good. However I want to listen to the mic sound with effects from OBS which means I have to monitor it. To monitor it I have to send the OBS sound to a software channel in my RME and mute all other channels so I only hear what is coming from OBS. For that I use a free ADAT channel. I have set my desktop sound to the ADAT channel as well. Strangely enough, the mic sound is delayed. Not the sound coming from the desktop ( YouTube). I don't think its a RME issue. This audio interface is superb with low latency. The problem must be OBS related.
System:
Windows 10
Asrock Fatality MOB
AMD Threadripper
64GB Ram
GTX 690 dual GPU ( very bad , need to get a better one)
Decklink quad HDMI
RME fireface 400 Audio interface through firewire PCI expansion card
