Question / Help Mic Monitoring & Desktop Audio

Hello,

I am new to OBS, and have just figured out how to setup mic monitoring. However, I have run into an issue wherein my audio monitor track is being picked up by the desktop audio track.

Basically:
--> Microphone channel records output from microphone
--> Desktop Audio channel records anything going to my headset
<--- Mic Monitor channel sends Microphone output BACK into my headset
<---> Desktop Audio channel [As it records anything going to headset] picks up my Mic Monitor channel. Therefore creating an echo.


Is it possible to fix this? my fiddling around has lead to no results so far.

If it matters, I have Realtek Audio.

Hey Icey!

For clarification, are you using the monitoring system built into OBS Studio, or are you just plugging your headset into your computer to listen to the Windows Desktop Audio output?

The more info you can provide about your audio routing (what's being done in OBS and what's being done in Windows) and your setup (one PC, dual PC, PC + Console, etc.), the quicker we can lock down a solution for you.
