Mic is working but not recording

Hello, I tried to change my setting from one track to two and now my mic is not capturing audio. While recording the green bar fluctuates so it is capturing sound but when I go to watch in either the movie player or edit in shotcut the only track shown is the desktop which is working fine. There is no audio of me speaking only the green line fluctuating. I have the desktop set to track 1 and mic set to track 2. I only use (non-mic) headphones on my laptop, My mic is a RODE wireless go 11, I record in .mkv format and I do not have the mp4remux setting enabled. Although I did try recording with it enabled and it still did not work. My Mic and Mic/Aux seem to be the same thing and when I disable one they both go out so I am just leaving them both for track 2. I do not stream, at all, but I put that in the screens too just incase there is something in there that could be affecting it. It was working earlier today before I tried to change from one track to two but not now. I also checked all my settings in my computers sound settings for my mic and headphones and they were all correct. I have attached images of everything I can think of but if you need more let me know.

The mic was recorded but it's on track 2. Unless, of course, you muted it.
Use VLC player to watch the video, or a video editor, not the windows player.

You need to switch between audio tracks in your media player. No media player will mix and play back multiple tracks at a time. Recording tracks separately is for postprocessing. If you don't postprocess your audio, don't record multiple audio tracks but mix all sources in OBS instead.

thank you for responding. I did try to see if both tracks would show up in my editing software (shotcut) but it only pulls up the video with track one attatched. No track 2 anywhere to be found. @koala when you say post processing do you mean my video editing software (shotcut)? I do plan on editing it and merging together once the editing is done but so far I am still only hearing track 1 in the software not both. Could this be an issue with my editing software then?

I don't know Shortcut. According to your 3rd screenshot, you're writing 2 audio tracks. You can check with MediaInfo what tracks and how many tracks a video file contains. Or ffprobe, if you're familiar with the ffmpeg command line tools. Or use vlc or mpc-hc as media player and check if they offer switching audio tracks while playing a video.

i had setting my audio while recording to Headset, not Headphones.
And audio track was by default, 1. While i play this by default player in windows 10, not sounds was played.
When i play by VLC player, same not sounds was played.
After i had choose in VLC audiodeivce headphones, same nothing was played.
After i had choosed in VLC audiodeivce headset, my sounds was played. it was B28 headset.
What about B19, it's not make any audiosignal in windows, (didn't check it in Linux yet) while i can speaking by it by Android phone.

my settings are here, and in VLC can choose output device, and can be played over the monitor too.

You need to first load a video file in VLC. Then, the track selection for that video file can be found behind the "Audio track" submenu. Audio tracks have nothing to do with any available playback devices on your your computer. They're part of your video file instead.

I do. Here's a 6-track file that I recorded in OBS just now:

Hi, Not sure if you already got the solution. I had similar problem like your, the following steps sloved my problem.
  1. Check the Audio Input Device in OBS:
    • Open OBS Studio.
    • Double-click on your Audio Input Capture source.
    • In the drop-down menu, ensure that the correct microphone is selected (not just the default).
    • Sometimes changing this setting can resolve the issue.
