Question / Help Mic is no longer being picked up in OBS after Windows 10 update

Windows has been doing an update, I suspect a rather big one and it's redone the Audio/sound portion. After the update OBS no longer can pick up the mic. The mic works fine in other windows programs I've tested with. If I do a system restore to the previous verison/update then the mic returns to normal operation.

Since it's getting harder to restore, since it keeps updating, is there anything I can do with OBS to resolve this issue?

Found it, sneaky setting hiding under 'Privacy'.
  • Go to Windows Settings by using shortcut Win+I and click on Privacy tab.
  • Select Microphone from the left panel and turn it ON.
  • You can also choose the apps you want to use your Microphone.
