Question / Help Mic echo through headset

Hi
Everytime I record some gaming footage and I want my voice in the footage the will always be a echo coming straight through the headset. I want to record both my voice and the game audio so disabling one audio won't help. Do I need to buy another monitor or is there a extra setting I need to enable/disable

Turn off mic monitoring in windows, check that monitor output is off in OBS for your microphone.

I want to use the mic but I don't want to here my voice be played back. Disabling anything won't do.

Set the default Windows playback audio device to your headset.
In OBS, set Desktop Audio to be the headset or Default.
Mute webcam mic and speakers to avoid them being captured by the open mic.
