Hey so in the last month I've been noticing Microphone spikes/clipping that happen sometimes in my streams. I usually notice it when my Twitch chat all start spamming WutFace or complain. It all started when Zelda Breath of the Wild dropped last month. At first I got really upset because I have a pretty decent rig and my dynamic mic cost hundreds of dollars so its lame if the mic is defective. The mic spikes rarely happen outside of playing Zelda. Like if I decide to play Smash Bros, maybe the mic spike will happen once every 10 streams. But with Zelda its so consistent. Like 20 mic spikes in one stream. And the crazier part is that its consistently during a certian part of the game. More specifically, the mic spikes happen when I'm in the loading screen or when I'm checking the map. I guess thats a good thing that I could replicate it consistently. I haven't tried any other games on the Nintendo Switch yet. But yeah, It basically never happens outside of those 2 parts. Last night was the first time I thought of using another mic as I played Zelda to see if I still got the spike and I did! The mic spike still happened with my subpar usb mic. So at least I know my super expensive mic isnt defective.
I'll include the log file below. I hope someone can help out, because I have no idea what the problem is and its very annoying. I never hear the mic spikes myself, only my audience does. And heres a clip where it happens 15 seconds in https://clips.twitch.tv/TallAmorphousMushroomFloof (fair warning, to some the sound isnt that annoying but to others its horrible)
