Mic audio random cuts

In my recent recordings, sometimes the start of the end of a word is cut.
I had to change the settings on the filters, because I changed keyboard and the mic started picking it up. But I tried fiddling with the settings and nothing changed.

Could it be the limiter or the noise gate?

Can you post an example section of a recording? It's a lot easier to diagnose audio problems by ear. :-)
